Making The Most Of The Space In Your Fitness Facility
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Is there any aspect of the RIG design or set-up that could be enhanced or adapted to improve how space is used? You may not have to rip out your existing RIG and start again.
Dan at CrossFit Fort Ashton approached us after noticing design features that had been utilised at a NEW BOX, designed by Moduflex Custom Rigs.

I NEED IDEAS TO IMPROVE THE SPACE IN MY FITNESS FACILITY
With membership and classes growing rapidly, and no option to relocate to a bigger space, Dan recognised an opportunity to create more floor space by repositioning the RIG, and suspending PULL-UP bars from the ceiling. Dan loved the ‘naked’ raw steel finish of the PULL-UP bars, and the impact this had on aesthetics. In addition, eight wall ball targets were installed above the squat stations without compromising the existing setup.

Whilst the RIG is an integral part of the set-up at any Functional Fitness Facility, its fixed nature can often prohibit retrospective adjustments that might be necessary as a result of growing membership or an increase in class sizes. Our design team worked closely with Dan, resulting in RIG space capacity being increased overall. Even when a workout requires barbells or rowers, an additional four to six people can work comfortably. The adjustments have facilitated a better flow of classes, with more space per member during workouts, but also the ability to run open gym alongside classes when necessary, without disruption or compromise.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
