CrossFit Henleaze is a fitness facility located on the Henleaze high street in Bristol, UK. The gym is housed in an old bank building that was renovated and converted into a modern fitness facility. The owners of CrossFit Henleaze partnered with MCR, to create a bespoke fitness facility that would meet the needs of their clientele.

The Brief

MCR worked closely with the owners of CrossFit Henleaze to develop a design that would make the most of the available space in the old bank building. The gym owners wanted a facility that would have a welcoming atmosphere and would provide a variety of functional training equipment to help members achieve their fitness goals. MCR was responsible for designing and fitting out the gym, which including the flooring and rig Custom Rig.

The Challenge

One of the biggest challenges that MCR faced during the project was fitting the rig supports between the traditional bay windows that were a prominent feature of the building. The owners of CrossFit Henleaze wanted a rig that would be able to accommodate a variety of functional movements and exercises, but the narrow space between the bay windows made it difficult to install the rig supports.

MCR's team of designers and builders worked closely together to find a solution to this problem. They came up with a bespoke rig design that would fit snugly between the bay windows without compromising on the functionality of the rig. The rig supports were custom fabricated to fit the unique dimensions of the space, and the rig was installed without any issues.

The Result

Despite the challenges, the project was completed on time, just before the New Year. The owners of CrossFit Henleaze were thrilled with the final result and the gym has become a popular destination for fitness enthusiasts in the local area. The gym's functional training equipment and welcoming atmosphere have helped it to stand out in a crowded marketplace, and it has quickly established itself as one of the top fitness facilities in Bristol.
